چکیده

In this paper, the relationship between rainfall and runoff is examined according to SCS-CN method based on DEM, soil land use maps over Ballikaya Watershed. For applicability of method, firstly, basin physical characteristics are compiled in Arc-GIS environment. Then, parameters related properties processed via HEC-GeoHMS, continuous rainfall-runoff simulations estimated by HEC-HMS. The simulation conducted with five different objective function methods, evaluations model performance explained addition graphical methods metrics including NSCE, MRE PCC. Results show that HEC-HMS capture time peak although predictions slightly underestimate value flows volume. Nevertheless, fluctuation simulated well respect observed hydrographs watershed during both calibration verification periods. addition, obtained values study hydrograph rivers Watershed have potential be predicted computer environment without any need from gauging measurements. can used investigate drought flood risks region only weather forecasts for future studies.

Comparative Study of HEC-HMS Rainfall-Runoff Model with Different Experimental Methods of Flood Estimation

The most important problem in estimating floods is the lack of sufficient statistics and consequently the lack of evaluation of the appropriate amount of flow. One of the flood estimation methods in these basins is the use of hydrological modeling. In this study, Shahbahram river flood modeling was performed with Nazmkan hydrometric station located in Kohkiluyeh Boyer-Ahmad province with HEC-HM...

Simulation of Rainfall-Runoff Process Using Green-Ampt Method and HEC-HMS Model (Case Study: Abnama Watershed, Iran)

Estimation of surface runoff in a watershed based on the rate of received precipitation and quantifying discharge at outlet is important in hydrologic studies. In this study, HEC-HMS hydrological model version 3.4 was used to simulate rainfall-runoff process in Abnama watershed located in south of Iran. To compute infiltration, rainfall excess conversion to runoff and flow routing, methods like...

The land use changes study and precipitation-runoff modelling using HEC-HMS, Case Study: Babolrood basin

Abstract Change in land use pattern influenced hydrological processes in basin and disrupt the normal balance of water flow. In the present research, hydrological parameters change of Babul Rod watershed basin has been that investigated concluded of land use changes in 1988 and 2009. To determine land use changes of Babul Rod watershed basin we has recruited TM satellite images 1988(1367) year ...

Application of the HEC-HMS model for runoff simulation in a tropical catchment

Hydrologic simulation employing computer models has advanced rapidly and computerized models have become essential tools for understanding human influences on river flows and designing ecologically sustainable water management approaches. The HEC-HMS is a reliable model developed by the US Army Corps of Engineers that could be used for many hydrological simulations. This model is not calibrated...

Runoff characteristics and application of HEC-HMS for modelling stormflow hydrograph in an oil palm catchment.

Rainfall-runoff processes in a small oil palm catchment (8.2 ha) in Johor, Malaysia were examined. Storm hydrographs show rapid responses to rainfall with a short time to peak. The estimated initial hydrologic loss for the oil palm catchment is 5 mm. Despite the low initial loss, the catchment exhibits a high proportion of baseflow, approximately 54% of the total runoff. On an event basis, the ...
